KFRPD Fire & Rescue Knox Box Initiative

Rapid Access for Safety and Security

The Kearney Fire & Rescue Protection District would like for the residents and business owners of our district to consider the use of “Knox Box”. While many businesses have them already, they were not required by ordinance until 2009. Buildings that change occupancy or remodel are required to install a Knox Box.

There is also a Knox Box for residential dwellings, for more information give us a call at 816-628-4122

The Power of Knox Box Rapid Access

In the event of an emergency, Knox Box allows firefighters to save valuable time gaining access without having to force entry and potentially damage property in the process. It could be a great asset when an owner or occupant is not readily available to provide access to the property.

Knox and your local fire department are working hand-in-hand to offer the best in fire protection and the finest in fast and secure emergency access.

  • Saves time and aggravation by not having to drive to your building at 2:00 a.m. for a false alarm.
