Training   

The Fire and EMS service is constantly evolving, we are expected to respond to a very wide variety of situations. There are new and improved techniques and new equipment to use. In order to improve safety, increase our efficiency, and provide a better service to our residents we must train. We also like to train with other Public Safety Personnel to share ideas and experiences, to that end, we offer training to our personnel as well as outside people. We offer these classes with internal instructors as well as outside instructors to offer the best possible training.

This is a schedule of upcoming training classes that we are providing or hosting for our members as well as outside Public Safety Personnel.

The class will begin the first Tuesday in January and is estimated to be completed the last Saturday in June. The classes are every Tuesday and Thursday evening and generally every other Saturday. Please understand that as we near the end of the course it may be necessary to attend more Saturdays due to unforeseen circumstances such as snow days or other scheduling conflicts.

This program is taught by professional firefighters who are certified Fire Service Instructors through the Missouri Division of Fire Safety. Many of our instructors hold many other certifications such as Fire Officer, Fire Investigator, Fire Inspector, Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator and more. Some hold college degrees related to the fire service as well.

We believe we offer a learning environment where all types of students can excel. Whether you are an experienced firefighter looking to get your certifications, fresh out of high school looking for a career, or an adult looking for a career change we look forward to seeing you in our training program.
