Employment Opportunities
The Kearney Fire & Rescue Protection District is a combination department that employs Full-time Staff as well as Volunteer/Part-Time staff. The Volunteer/Part-Time personnel receive Basic Firefighter and First Reponder training upon joining the department. After they have completed their training the are able to run calls. When the Volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel complete a "checklist", they are able to work up to 48 hrs/month for Pay and even fill in for Full-Time Positions.

Minimum Requirements
In order to be eligible for any Position you must meet these minimum qualifications
- Volunteer
- 18 Years Old
- Live in the Fire District
- Pass Background Check
- Full Time ( Position Vacancy )
- 18 Years Old
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Operator License
- Current EMT or EMT-P License
- Good Physical Condition
- Reside within 30 minutes within 6 Mo.
- Prefer FF I & II
