Fire Suppression
Our Fire District has a variety of apparatus to help us fight fires wherever they may be. We have two Fire Engines (Pumpers), a 75' Quint (Aerial / with a pump), two 1,800 gallon tankers with fol-da-tanks and two brush trucks. Because a significant portion of our fire district does not have fire hydrants we utilize our tankers to "shuttle" water to the fire scene from a nearby fire hydrant. Also because we cover a large amout of open land we use the brush trucks to extinguish brush fires.
In the event that we do not have adequate resources (apparatus & personnel), we have Mutal Aid agreements with several surrounding agencies that allows us to call on them for help. The agreements obviously allows others to call upon us for help.
